About Brendan McCarthy:
Brendan is a multi-award-winning photographer and photojournalist with 30 years of industry experience. His impressive career includes:
18 years with Fairfax and ACN, including 11 years at the Bendigo Advertiser.
Contributions to national and international publications such as The Age, Australian Financial Review, Global Institute for Tomorrow Publications, Lonely Planet Guidebooks, Slow Magazine, Asian Geographic, National Geographic Online, National Geographic textbooks and Police Life.
Since 2015, Brendan has been a dedicated freelancer, passionate about covering stories of society’s “quiet people.”
When he’s not capturing stunning images, Brendan enjoys spending time with his dogs at his property near Castlemaine.
Workshop Highlights:
Morning Session:
Kick off with a discussion on proper photography techniques and skills to help you take better photos and master your camera.
Head out into the field where Brendan will demonstrate simple yet effective techniques to advance your photography skills.
Lunch Break:
Enjoy a delicious lunch back at the hotel, providing ample opportunity to share your morning experiences with fellow participants.
Afternoon Session:
Share and discuss your photographs, learning what works and what doesn’t.
Another short field session to practice your new skills.
